Good to know

The questions we get most, answered honestly.

How long does an average renovation take?

It depends greatly on scope. A bathroom renovation is usually finished in 1.5 to 3 weeks, a kitchen in 1 to 2 weeks, an extension or full renovation can take 2 to 6 months. During the quote we always give a realistic timeline based on your specific situation.

What does a new bathroom cost?

A budget bathroom is around €6,000 to €10,000, a mid-range one between €12,000 and €20,000, and a full luxury custom bathroom from €25,000. Price depends on size, sanitary ware, tiling and any required piping. We always provide an itemised quote so you know exactly what you pay for.

Do I need a permit for my renovation?

For many smaller jobs (bathroom, kitchen, rear dormer of a detached home) no permit is required. For extensions, load-bearing wall breakthroughs and changes to the front facade usually yes. We know the rules per municipality and help you with the Environmental Permit process.

Do you also work as a subcontractor?

Yes, regularly. For larger construction and infrastructure firms we handle parts of projects, especially public green maintenance, railway and infra planting, and agreed specialisms within renovations.

How far do you travel?

We work throughout the Netherlands. Our headquarters is in Zeist and in the Utrecht region (Zeist, Utrecht, Amersfoort, Bilthoven, Driebergen, Soest, Hilversum) we are most active and often on site within a day. Beyond that we travel to any project in North, South, East or West Netherlands. For commercial work (greenery, rail, infra) we plan nationally. For private renovations we discuss travel planning and costs.

Do you give a warranty?

Yes. We provide at least the statutory warranty of 6 months to 2 years depending on the type of work, and for larger construction projects hidden defects are covered up to 10 years (under Dutch law art. 7:761 BW). The exact warranty terms are in our quote.

How quickly can you start?

For emergencies (leaks, power outages) we try to be on site within 24-48 hours. For quotes we usually come by within a week. Work itself usually starts 2 to 6 weeks after quote approval.

Do you work with fixed price or hourly billing?

Preferably a fixed price based on an itemised quote. That gives you certainty upfront. Only for projects with unforeseen factors (e.g. demolition where conditions emerge during the work) we use an indicative price plus billing afterwards. We always communicate this clearly in advance.

Who supplies the materials?

By default we arrange all materials so you do not have to worry about them. Want to supply materials yourself (e.g. a specific tile or tap)? That can be arranged, and we factor it into the quote.

What if I want to change something during the project?

No problem. We discuss changes, record additional work in writing with price and timeline impact, and only execute after your approval. So there are never surprises on the final invoice.
